  • What a successful wellbeing programme looks like and the essential elements to include
  • How learning and development contribute to the delivery and embedding of a wellbeing agenda

Case study: The evolution of L&D at The Action Group
Louise Brunton and Gareth Timms

The past few years have presented many changes and challenges for The Action Group’s L&D team. To help meet these continually evolving needs, they have chosen a blended approach.

In this session, Louise and Gareth shared the efficient and effective solutions that they have put in place so far in their journey.

Last year at the Charity Learning Conference and Awards, The Action Group won ‘Outstanding Dedication’ to both staff and people supported by the charity. On top of their day job, they stepped in to provide practical care work to cover for colleagues when they’ve been ill with Covid. Always proactive, they curated and created resources and learning pathways – alongside their care work – to provide quality L&D. See all of the award winners from 2022 here.

The progression of flexible working
Lee Ann Panglea, CIPD

Flexible working – giving flexibility over where, when and the hours people work – is increasingly in demand. In the session, Lee explored the benefits of flexible working, the types of arrangements commonly used and gave practical tips on implementing flexible working practices.

Maximise your investment in bespoke eLearning
Gill Chester, Little Man Project

Creating bespoke eLearning can be a significant investment of a charity’s time and resources. In this session, Gill explored five ways you can make the most of this investment and potentially extend the reach that eLearning has. The session featured case studies from charities doing this and opportunities to share your ideas.

Facilitating networking: The Charity Learning Index

Driven by Charity Learning Index results, this session was a great opportunity to get to know fellow members. Designed to track progression over time, the Charity Learning Index (CL Index) provides members with valuable data to assess where you are now and understand how to improve.

Julie is a consultant, coach and facilitator with over 20 years experience and a global portfolio.
