Charity Learning Scotland Awards 2025: Celebrating Excellence in Learning & Development
For the first time ever, the Charity Learning Consortium proudly presented the Charity Learning Scotland Awards 2025 – a special celebration recognising the exceptional contributions of our growing Scottish membership.
For over a decade, the Charity Learning Awards have honoured organisations and individuals who go above and beyond in learning and development (L&D). With membership growing steadily across Scotland, this year marks a significant milestone as we shine a spotlight on the innovative, impactful work happening across the country.

Community Champions: Key
Key has fully embraced what it means to be a member of the Consortium since the moment they joined. Hosting members’ meetings and creating valuable opportunities for collaboration, they have gone above and beyond to engage and inspire their peers. Their active involvement across all areas of membership has enriched the community as a whole. We are proud to celebrate their efforts and extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of ourselves and the wider Charity Learning community.

Inspiration in Learning: Stuart Hiles, Changeworks
This year’s Inspiration in Learning award recognises Stuart Hiles, whose work has transformed Changeworks’ induction programme from a traditional format into an engaging, blended learning model. His presentation at one of our members’ meetings highlighted how this redevelopment improved compliance, supported certification attainment, and even reduced the organisation’s environmental impact. Stuart’s work has inspired fellow members and demonstrated the far-reaching benefits of innovative L&D practices.

L&D Impact: Jill Leishman, North East Scotland College

L&D Professional of the Year: Alison Carruthers, Care Visions
Alison has been a long-standing, consistent contributor to the CLC community, sharing her expertise, supporting fellow members, and helping shape the future of L&D. This award recognises not just the impactful work she has done at Care Visions over the past year but her ongoing commitment and dedication over multiple years. Alison embodies the spirit of collaboration and excellence that the Charity Learning Consortium celebrates.
We’re so proud of all our winners and grateful to every member who makes our Scottish community such a special place. Your work inspires others, sparks collaboration, and helps drive meaningful change across the sector. Here’s to many more years of celebrating your success!

“The Charity Learning Scotland Awards are our way of recognising the brilliant work our members are doing to create lasting change in their organisations and communities. This is about celebrating collaboration, inspiration, and impact.”
