Talent Management

Free online resources curated for charity and not for profit organisations

As charities face growing demand and limited resources, effective talent management is key to building strong, sustainable teams.

It supports organisations to attract, develop, and retain the people they need to deliver their mission.

5 Skill Development Tactics
Talent Management

  1. Build flexible, skills-based learning pathways: Create progression without promotions, through modular learning and role-agnostic skills development routes.
  2. Formalise cross-functional development: Provide access to short-term projects, secondments, shadowing and an internal “ opportunities marketplace. ”
  3. Strengthen the coaching culture: Equip managers with practical coaching tools and feedback skills. Consider cross-departmental mentoring.
  4. Develop an alumni and returner strategy: Maintain relationships with leavers to build a long-term pipeline of experienced talent.
  5. Implement talent intelligence: Use skills audits and AI tracking of critical capability to target development opportunities and allocate people to project opportunities.
