Our new partnership provides an even greater choice of courseware for Members – and even more reasons to join us!
The Charity Learning Consortium (CLC) has partnered with Virtual College to provide its Members with easy access to the College’s comprehensive courseware – directly through the CLC-hosted platform. This ensures a ‘one-stop-shop’ for learners.
Virtual College is one of the UK’s leading eLearning providers, with a comprehensive suite of more than 250 online courses. The wide range of subjects includes health & safety, food hygiene, management training, and equality and diversity.
Virtual College is also home to several e-Academies which offer sector-specific courses in areas such as Healthcare, Housing, Education and Safeguarding. A dedicated team of subject matter experts ensures that courseware meets current needs and legislation.
The Housing, Healthcare and Safeguarding e-Academies are particularly relevant for the growing number of housing associations, charities and not-for-profits providing housing and healthcare services.
This new partnership means that optional courseware on offer to our Members now includes a suite of social housing eLearning, covering legislative differences for both England and Scotland. Additional healthcare and safeguarding courses cover subjects like the safe use of insulin and safeguarding adults. We think this will be of real benefit to our Members offering healthcare and housing services.
It’s a great meeting of minds! Like the Consortium, Virtual College uses online solutions to enhance traditional approaches to learning and development. These are developed in co-operation with partners like the Consortium, to ensure information is current and meets required legislation and standards.
Martin Baker, CEO of the Charity Learning Consortium commented:
“This partnership really emphasises the close relationship we have with our Members, and our awareness of the needs and challenges they face upskilling their staff and volunteers.
“Our partnership with Virtual College allows our Members to focus on supporting their learners, rather than spending time sourcing cost-effective, credible content.
“Delivering a one-stop-shop for L&D, with a single point of access for learners, is integral to embedding eLearning within organisational culture. I’ m pleased to say that this is a passion which The Charity Learning Consortium shares with Virtual College.”
Hayley Rutter, Partnerships Manager at Virtual College, added: “The partnership between Charity Learning Consortium and Virtual College encapsulates CLC’s expertise in providing eLearning to the charity sector, and Virtual College’s ability to create sector specific resources. We’re very excited about the benefits this partnership can bring.”
