mylearningcloudAs of the 1st of June 2015 My Learning Cloud and the Charity Learning Consortium are delighted to announce they are official partners for all Consortium members and their elearning requirements.

With a shared understanding that learning needs to be flexible and responsive and relevant to the work that is undertaken within the care, support and healthcare sector. The partnership understands it needs to be engaging and beneficial to those who use it. These are values shared by both My Learning Cloud and the Charity Learning Consortium.

Steven Embleton – Chief Cloud said of this strategic development: “2015 is an exciting year for My Learning Cloud with plans for continued expansion, including the development of 18 new courses before the end of the year. This partnership allows the Consortium a definitive on-line solution for delivery to their members of quality interactive courseware written by subject matter experts. All courses are CPD Certified and have been mapped to units from the Qualification Credit Framework Diploma in Health and Social Care. In addition, our predicted workforce growth and a greatly enhanced customer base highlights some of our successes so far and the promise of what will be delivered in the future.”

Along with the Consortium, formed in 2001 by six charities looking to share learning resources, the CLC has grown from strength to strength. Now with more than 120 members from the third sector, the CLC continues to provide an opportunity for charity and voluntary organisations to have access to a portfolio of fantastic cost effective elearning courses, networking opportunities, and a place to discuss best practice in the charity sector.

Martin Baker, founder and CEO of the Charity Learning Consortium is enthusiastic about the partnership benefits for members of the Consortium: “The fact that My Learning Cloud courseware is tablet-ready is a huge benefit. Staff and volunteers not doing a traditional ‘desk job’, such as those working in the care sector or charity shops, often rely on using tablets to stay connected,” he said.

The topics covered in the courseware are also highly relevant for our members, so this is a perfect addition to what is already on offer through the Consortium.”
